First UMC Harvest Festival History
This takes us back to 1965, when the Acre Hour program became known as the Harvest Festival. In the mid-50s, the Acre Hour Program gave church members the opportunity to dedicate one (or more) hours of work income to the church. Farmers and ranchers could give one acre of crop or cattle income. The program worked well and provided seed money for the property the church now owns. The Harvest Festival continues this tradition. Part of the day is a fellowship meal including homemade baked goods. The men’s and ladies’ groups serve the catered meal while also organizing a Silent Auction, Live Auction and Children’s Activities.
Lunch served at 11:30 am
Live Auction starts at 11:45 am
All Day fun 11:30 am-3:30 PM
