Caring Ministries at First SealyThrough the Caring Ministries of First Sealy, we seek to use our time and talent in ways that demonstrate love for our neighbors. We pray that God’s love may guide our hands and our hearts.
Our pastor and Caring Ministry team members provide care through visitation in homes, nursing facilities and hospitals, as well as contact with church members and friends by phone and letters. Please contact the church office to request a visit from our pastor or Caring Ministry team member. First Sealy Caring Ministries include: Grief Ministy: These volunteers send condolence cards, provides helpful books and pamphlets as well as assisting the UMW in a funeral receptions and meals for the family. Prayer Chain: A group of FUMC members who pray for others. It is a phone group and an email group. If you would like to be part of this ministry, contact Billie Wright. Sealy Saints: This ministry provides meals for members following surgery or a death in the family. Prayer Shawl Ministry: This group meets for fellowship and the knitting of prayer shawls. These shawls are blessed with special prayers and given to people in times of struggle, transition and joy. |
